AOAC seeks comments on Standard Method Performance Requirements

AOAC is looking for review and comment on Standard Method Performance Requirements, as well as the submission of methods to meet this standard.

AOAC International's Stakeholder Panel on Strategic Food Analytical Methods (SPSFAM) is continuing to drive momentum to develop consensus-based standards for the food industry, including dietary supplements, that are recognized and used worldwide. Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPR) have been developed for the determination of Flavan-3-ols in Tea, Wine, Fruit and Fruit Juices,
Cocoa Powder, Chocolate, Spices and/or Herbs, as well as methods for Vitamin A, D, E, and K.

AOAC is looking for review and comment on the SMPR as well as the submission of methods to meet this standard. Methods will be reviewed at the AOAC Annual Meeting & Exposition by an Expert Review Panel (ERP). The ERP will then vote whether to give the method First Action Official Method.
