Baywood Appoints Advantage Sales and Marketing to Expand Sales And Distribution

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- To augment its need to expand sales and strengthen the merchandising of its brands within the health food store channels, Baywood International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BYWD) (the "Company") has appointed Advantage Sales & Marketing Specialty Division (ASM) as its sales organization across fourteen (14) states including Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania (West), Kentucky, North Dakota and South Dakota. ASM will be responsible for negotiating sales of the Company's product lines to specialty, natural food and grocery food stores and wholesalers in these states.

ASM's Specialty Division was developed in 2000 to be an exclusive, dedicated sales division to serve brands in the specialty distribution channels where the Company markets it products. Specifically, ASM expedites and accelerates the flow of specialty and natural products through the use of category management, technology and education from the Company to the retailer and consumer. The Company employs a number of inside sales representatives that already manage the states that ASM will be overseeing. They will continue in their management positions and ASM will supplement their efforts by utilizing and leveraging their working relationships with distributors who call on chain and independent health food stores as well as the retail accounts individually.
