Cyanotech is happy to announce the availability of BioAstin® in a vegetarian gelcap. This new product has been thoroughly researched and has demonstrated excellent stability, which is always a huge concern with Astaxanthin products.
“Because Astaxanthin is an exceptionally strong antioxidant, it oxidizes very quickly if not properly protected,” said Gerry Cysewski, PhD, Cyanotech’s CEO and Founder. “We’ve seen several Astaxanthin products from competitors in various delivery forms that have had horrible stability. When tested, several have been at less than 50% of their label claim! For example, one vegetarian capsule from Europe claiming 4 mg of Astaxanthin per capsule tested out at only 1.3 mg. Cyanotech will never release a new product unless we can assure that it will have sufficient stability to arrive to the consumer with the proper dosage.”
