BioLogic Health Solutions Receives Grant From Queensland Government to Conduct Further Research in U.S.

Company Raising Awareness of Urinary Incontinence and Overactive Bladder

BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND, July 20, 2005 - BioLogic Health Solutions Pty Ltd., makers of UroLogic(TM), a branded dietary ingredient designed to address overactive bladder and incontinence associated with aging and childbirth, has received a large grant from the Queensland Minister for State Development and Innovation. The grant will enable the company to further research the effectiveness of its signature ingredient, UroLogic, by undertaking more clinical trials and safety testing in the United States.

"As a small company with big ideas, having the support of the State Government has really given us the confidence to go international the U.S. is just the beginning," stated Debra Seipel, president of BioLogic Health Solutions. "We know we have a product that works and we know it could be the answer for millions of people the world over, but we need additional clinical trials in the United States to give us further credibility."

The U.S. National Association for Continence (NAFC) estimates on the basis of multiple studies and expert opinion, that 25 million Americans experience transient or chronic urinary incontinence. It is estimated that 15 billion U.S. dollars are spent every year on incontinence products. This widespread problem afflicts women and men of all ages. Most of them are women over 40, particularly post-menopausal women but also women in their child-bearing years. An increasing number of men also suffer from UI. As the American population ages, these numbers will escalate, as will the market for related products. By 2006 estimates show a US market for incontinence products approaching $15.6 billion.

BioLogic currently has several clinically backed bladder control products available in Australia. UroLogic is a proprietary natural formula that contains the Western herb Horsetail, traditionally used to address urinary health issues, and the Ayurvedic herb Crateva that helps improve bladder tone, combined with added minerals to support nerve transmission. This unique ingredient has demonstrated positive results in human clinical research and testing and has been shown to be effective in addressing both stress and urge incontinence associated with aging and childbirth. Numerous pilot clinical trials have been conducted in the Australian market, in addition to toxicology safety testing which is underway. A randomized double-blind placebo controlled trial is currently underway in the United States.
