Branding Expert Libby Gill to Keynote Natural Products Association National Convention in July

WASHINGTON (June 12, 2008) – The Natural Products Association announced today that Libby Gill, an entertainment industry veteran and internationally respected branding expert, will be the keynote speaker at Natural MarketPlace 2008, the association’s annual trade show and convention, July 17–19, in Las Vegas. Gill, who was the branding brain behind the launch of the Dr. Phil Show, spent fifteen years heading public relations and corporation communications as Senior Vice President at Universal Studios; Vice President at Sony Pictures Entertainment and Turner Broadcasting. Gill’s address is scheduled for Friday, July 18.

Gill is a widely known and a respected brand strategist, coach, columnist for the Dallas Morning News and radio talk show host. In 2000, she founded Libby Gill & Company, which is focused on creating client success through powerful personal and business brands.

Gill is also an accomplished author, having chronicled her journey of overcoming a family legacy of alcoholism, divorce and mental illness in her bestselling book, Traveling Hopefully: How to Lose Your Family Baggage and Jumpstart Your Life.

While she started her career as a temporary office assistant, in just five years Gill worked her way up to VP of publicity, advertising and promotion at Sony before joining Turner Broadcasting and Universal. Later, Gill moved into a creative position and became Vice President of television programming and development for Universal’s Studios USA.

Gill has appeared on the Today Show, Dr. Phil, CNN, NPR, Fox News, and the CBS Early Show, and has been quoted in Time Magazine, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, O Magazine and Good Housekeeping. Her clients have included Microsoft, Pfizer, USAA, Lycos, Sprint, Capital One and Lockheed Martin.
