VANCOUVER, Oct. 13 /CNW/ - Burcon NutraScience Corporation (TSX-V: BU) announced today the departure of Mr. Michael Kirwan, the company's senior vice president corporate development. Mr. Kirwan was responsible for, among other items, Burcon's investor relations and corporate communications. Burcon's chief financial officer, Ms. Jade Cheng, will take over responsibility for investor relations and corporate communications.
Ms. Cheng has worked with the Burcon group of companies for more than nine years. She has held numerous senior financial management positions, including chief financial officer of Burcon International Developments Ltd. and corporate secretary of Concord Pacific Group Inc. Ms. Cheng holds both a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in business administration from the University of British Columbia, and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
