Burcon selected for inclusion in TSX Venture 50

VANCOUVER, Dec. 6, 2005 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- Burcon NutraScience Corporation (TSX-V: BU) announces today that it has been selected for inclusion in the "2005 TSX Venture 50" a ranking of the top 50 emerging public companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.

The criteria used to determine the TSX Venture 50 is based on a formula considering revenue, return on investment, market capitalization growth, and trading volume for the top ten companies in each of five industry sectors - mining, oil & gas, technology, life science and diversified industries - with the initial selection data being compiled as at August 31, 2005.
