Carol Cheow, general manager of Cactus Botanics, has announced the additions of Lutein and Zeaxanthin for dietary supplement, food and cosmeceutical formulators.

Cactus Botanics' Lutein and Zeaxanthin may be used to support against development of age-related macular degeneration (ARMD) and to support overall healthy structure of the eye and function of vision. In addition, Cheow emphasizes, newer compelling research shows that lutein and zeaxanthin are effective in skin-health/anti-aging cosmeceuticals for photoprotective properties and hydration.

"Further," says Cheow, "our Lutein is viable as a food colorant and nutrient additive; Lutein can convert to 3'-epilutein and anhydrolutein I in an acidic medium as well as during different cooking methods."

Cactus Botanics offers Lutein and Zeaxanthin in potent forms. Lutein is available from 5% to 80% powder and Zeaxanthin from 10% to 40% HPLC.
