(CLOVIS, CA) October 21, 2002 - The Consultants Association for the Natural Products Industry has announced it has received approval from the Internal Revenue Service as an official non-profit with a 501 (c) (6) organization Culminating its 11th year, CANI consists of national and international member firms with industry expertise in a wide-range of areas including advertising, business strategy, event management, executive recruiting, foodservice, government regulations, import/export, industry analysis, insurance, internet marketing, legal, marketing, merchandising planners, organizational development, package design, product development, publicity, public relations, publishing, regulatory affairs, research and development, risk management, sales management, scientific substantiation, sourcing, store design, training and education, translation, video production, and web site design.
According to Karena K. Dillon, CANI president, the organization has recently provided several companies seeking help with product manufacturing and labeling, corporate publicity and identity, product introduction to the United States, legal counsel, broker/distributor management, organic product development, insurance and FDA regulatory assistance.
The CANI member directory will be available at the SupplySide West booth #1779. The semi-annual member meeting will be held Wednesday, December 4 from 4-5 p.m. in room 505 of the Sands Convention Center. Non-members are invited to attend to learn more about the group.
