Healthy new products including the CoroWise(TM) brand
Naturally Sourced Cholesterol Reducer™ to be sampled by participants
MINNEAPOLIS – Cargill is co-sponsoring the 2005 Life Time Fitness Triathlon in Minneapolis on July 16. This is the fourth consecutive year that Cargill has supported the growing event, which boasts the largest purse in triathlon history and benefits The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities.
Triathlon competitors will swim in one of Minneapolis’ lakes, run through scenic urban neighborhoods and bike along the winding Mississippi River Parkway before crossing the finish line near Lake Nokomis. NBC Sports will once again provide same-day television coverage beginning at 2 p.m. CDT. The race offers an Olympic course and a short-course, plus several options to encourage participation from a wide range of athletes.
“Cargill is committed to promoting health and wellness among consumers by developing ingredient solutions that will lead to healthier consumer products. We are proud to support another successful Minneapolis-based company, Life Time Fitness, in its efforts to encourage people to adopt healthier lifestyles,” said Ted Ziemann, president of Cargill Health & Food Technologies.
CoroWise™ brand Naturally Sourced Cholesterol Reducer™ will be the primary ingredient brand featured by Cargill at the triathlon. Participants can sample exciting, delicious new products that contain CoroWise(TM) plant sterols, including Nature Valley(R) Healthy Heart(TM) granola bars, Yoplait(R) Healthy Heart(TM) yogurt, Minute Maid(R) Premium Heart Wise(TM) orange juice and Rice Dream(R) Heartwise(TM) Rice Drink, as well as participate in consumer surveys.
