Cargill invites foodservice operators to enter the Clear Valley® natural brand "Taste of Adventure" sweepstakes.
The sweepstakes celebrates the launch of Cargill's newest oil—Clear Valley® natural cooking & frying oil—made with 100 percent canola oil. This natural product is low in saturated fat (one gram per serving), has zero grams trans fat (per 14 gram serving), and offers foodservice operators a cost-saving solution due to its exceptional shelf and fry life. Because it resists oxidation and the development of flavor "off" notes, this new oil is versatile enough to use for frying, sauteing, baking, marinades, sauces and dressings.
Clear Valley® natural cooking & frying oil has reason to appeal to consumers, who are increasingly demanding foods prepared with lower trans fats and saturated fats, with no compromise in enjoyment or taste.
With such a pure, clean taste and favorable nutritional profile, choosing the grand prize trip location for the sweepstakes was a natural. "Our sweepstakes celebrates the clean, fresh taste of Clear Valley® natural cooking & frying oil by offering foodservice operators a chance to win a trip to enjoy the natural beauty of Colorado," said Connie Tobin, director of foodservice marketing, Cargill Dressings, Sauces & Oils.
The"Taste of Adventure" sweepstakes grand prizeis a five-day trip for two to Denver to enjoy the clean, fresh mountain air and take in the outdoors with a ski package or mountain backpacking adventure. The winner will receiveairfare, lodging, dining at Denver-area restaurants that serve Clear Valley® natural products, and an adventure package fee, up to a $5,000 retail value.
The winner also can visit the source of Clear Valley® natural cooking & frying oil—the Cargill Specialty Canola Research Facility located in Fort Collins, north of Denver. The visit will include a tour of the research facility's plant and agricultural grounds.
