Carotech webinar to discuss latest tocotrienol research

Webinar is aimed at informing clinicians, neuro-specialists, leaders and members of the nutraceutical industry specializing in formulation, research and product development.

Carotech Inc., the world’s largest and only GMP-certified natural full spectrum palm tocotrienol producer is pleased to announce the launch of a scientific webinar that delves into the latest tocotrienol research (Tocomin SupraBio®) in neuroprotection against stroke-induced injuries and white matter lesions.

With the assistance of Carotech, the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) sponsors this on-demand webinar, entitled “Research Updates on Neuroprotection Properties and Pharmacokinetics of Tocotrienols”. Professor Chandan Sen and Professor KH Yuen, both renowned experts in tocotrienol research, will be sharing their insights which cover the latest science of palm mixed tocotrienol complex in pharmacokinetics, human tissue distribution, liver health and neuroprotection. This webinar is aimed at informing clinicians, neuro-specialists, leaders and members of the nutraceutical industry specializing in formulation, research and product development.

Professor Sen from the Ohio State University Medical Center has been a pioneer in the field of tocotrienol and neuroprotection research since 2000. He will present data from his decade long research including in vitro studies, small and large animal models and human studies. In addition, he will share with viewers the recently launched human clinical trial with Tocomin SupraBio® capsules (“NUTRITION Study” - Natural Tocotrienol Against Ischemic Stroke Event).

Professor Yuen from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of University of Science Malaysia is a veteran researcher that specializes in drug absorption and bioavailability, novel drug delivery systems and clinical evaluation of pharmaceutical products. Professor Yuen and his team have recently completed a human clinical trial that looked at the neuroprotective effect of palm tocotrienol complex (Tocomin SupraBio®) in white matter lesions model. White matter lesions are independent risk factors for full blown stroke. He will be sharing with viewers the results from this trial including pharmacokinetics of tocotrienols and the patented “SupraBio” self-emulsifying delivery system that improves the absorption and bioavailability of each individual tocotrienols.

“In our continuous effort to increase consumers’ awareness and bring forth research updates to the market about the unique beneficial effects of natural full spectrum palm tocotrienol complex in neuroprotection, the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) once again provided this opportunity through the webinar, for us to hear from renowned researchers on the latest human clinical research in tocotrienols, especially in absorption, liver health and stroke prevention support,” says Bryan See, Regional Product Manager, Carotech Inc.

“We invite everyone who is interested in learning more about palm tocotrienol complex (Tocomin SupraBio®) in neuroprotection to register and join the webinar,” added Bryan.
