March 9, 2004, LaGrange, IL— Cognis Nutrition and Health, a global leader in the manufacture and innovation of nature-based ingredients and application technology for health and food products, announced today it is proud to be the official co-sponsor of the largest conference devoted to vitamin E to be held in fifteen years.
“Vitamin E and Health”, a New York Academy of Sciences Conference, will take place at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University in Boston on May 22-24, 2004. Presenters include a “Who’s Who” of prominent vitamin E scientists from around the world.
The objective of this multi-disciplinary conference is to review the progress in vitamin E research, to gain new insight into its function, and to develop directions for research over the next decade.
“Vitamin E is widely acknowledged as a powerful antioxidant and this conference will remind us of its important role in human health,” explained Kathleen Moran, Global Market Segment Manager, Dietary Supplements. “These top researchers will help us better understand the role of vitamin E and why it promises to serve an even greater health benefit among an aging population.” Ms. Moran added, “We also hope to gain clarity regarding the uncertainty generated by some recent intervention studies. Cognis is proud to co-sponsor this conference because it coincides with our mission to promote healthy life through research and development.”
