Comax Flavors receives BRC certification

Recognition of a British Retail Consortium standard demonstrates that products are manufactured and handled to the highest possible criteria at all levels.

Comax Flavors, a world leader in proprietary flavors located in Melville, N.Y., announced it has received certification from the British Retail Consortium (BRC). Recognition of a BRC standard demonstrates that products are manufactured and handled to the highest possible criteria at all levels. In addition, it is an approved audit scheme under the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

"Comax Flavors is proud to have achieved the British Retail Consortium (BRC) certification," said Catherine Armstrong, vice president of corporate communications. "This positive evaluation confirms our ongoing commitment to supply our customers with exceptional quality and safety."

The BRC developed and introduced the Food Technical Standards in 1996 and are a leading global safety and quality certification program, used throughout the world. They facilitate standardization of quality, safety, operational criteria and manufacturers' fulfillment of legal obligations. They also help provide protection to the consumer.
