WASHINGTON, D.C., March 31, 2005 – The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), one of the dietary supplement industry’s leading trade associations, is pleased to announce the addition of five new member companies joining in 2005. CRN welcomed three new companies into the association in January: Eastman Chemical Company, Gumlink A/S, and Reliv International, Inc. Most recently, at the March meeting of the Board of Directors, CRN added two additional members, Iovate Health Sciences Research Inc. and Miami Research Associates.

Eastman Chemical Company of Kingsport, Tenn., is a producer of NuTriene tocotrienols, a mixture of naturally occurring tocotrienols and tocopherols extracted and concentrated from rice bran oil, suitable for incorporation into soft gelatin capsules and other forms of dietary supplement or skin care products.
Gumlink A/S, a subsidiary of Bagger-Sørensen & Co. A/S, of Denmark, produces functional chewing gum with added active ingredients such as calcium, zinc, vitamins, guarana and taurine to enhance health and well-being.
Reliv International, Inc. of Chesterfield, Mo., is a company focused on the development of nutritional supplements and functional foods specifically designed to enhance performance, protect against disease and relieve discomfort, using soy, herbs, antioxidants and other botanicals. Reliv products are sold through independent distributors around the world.
Iovate Health Sciences Research Inc., headquartered in Ontario, Canada, makes a wide range of sports nutrition supplements, including the "Muscletech" line.
Miami Research Associates, of South Miami, Fla., joins CRN as an associate member and is comprised of healthcare professionals, including 32 board-certified physicians who are involved in medical research.
