derma e Accepts Green Patriot Award

Freedom Press presented derma e® Natural Bodycare, a pioneer in formulating cutting-edge natural skincare products, with the April 2009 Green Patriot Company of the Month Award for organic leadership, green entrepreneurial innovation and global sustainability. This is the first time derma e® has been honored for their strong commitment to social and environmental responsibilities.

The Green Patriot™ Awards were created by Freedom Press, a publishing house dedicated to books and magazines that focus on health and the environment, to honor companies and organizations that have displayed outstanding achievement in demonstrating social and eco-friendly responsibilities that benefit their customers, employees and the environment.

For the last 25 years, not only has derma e® been dedicated to producing the highest quality, effective antioxidant-rich skincare formulas possible, the company constantly strives to lessen their impact on the environment, improve conservation efforts and believes in a collective responsibility to contribute to local and world communities. derma e® manufactures with 100% wind energy, has an in-office conservation and recycling program, and supports eco-friendly business practices as a member of Green America. The company is also an active supporter of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and is a member of the Natural Products Association and the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. Additionally, derma e® donates to various human and animal welfare and land conservation programs such as The Paraguay Project.

“We are extremely proud of this honor. From day one we have truly believed in healthy skin, a healthy world and a healthier environment and it is wonderful to be acknowledged for it”, says Dr. Linda Miles, L. Ac., D.O.M., Vice President of derma e® Natural Bodycare.
