Don Cherry Partners With COLD-fX(r) To Benefit 'Rose Cherry's Home For Kids'

Toronto, ON (CVQ - TSX VEN) CV Technologies Inc., a Canadian biotechnology company, is pleased to announce that it has formed a partnership with Don Cherry to increase awareness about COLD-fX(r) and provide financial support to Rose Cherry's Home for Kids.

Don Cherry has partnered with CV Technologies Inc. because of his belief in COLD-fX, an all natural and clinically proven, science-and evidenced-based solution for both the prevention and treatment of colds and flu. This partnership will help provide funding for Rose Cherry's Home for Kids, a children's hospice established to provide palliative and respite care for chronically ill children. A portion of COLD-fX sales will be donated towards this worthy cause.

COLD-fX is a natural health product that strengthens the immune system and can be used preventatively on a daily basis or as an acute treatment for colds and flu. It is widely used year-round including the summer period, when North Americans suffer an estimated 200-million summer colds. There is no other natural product on the market in Canada for cold and flu prevention and acute treatment that is uniquely patented and standardized. CVT's ChemBioPrint technology -- a patented process that precisely identifies the chemical profile and biological activity of natural health products, is a combination of chemical and pharmacological fingerprinting that ensures each batch of products delivers verifiable and provable health benefits, which are both safe and consistent with previous batches.

"I appreciate CV Technologies for supporting Rose Cherry's Home for Kids, more than I can say. But want to make it clear, I am involved with COLD-fX because of my belief in the product," says Don Cherry.

The introduction and acceptance of COLD-fX with Cherry is similar to many other consumers.
After hearing about the product and how many NHL players and Olympic athletes had experienced success with it, Cherry felt compelled to try it last fall.

"Let me explain how I became a believer of COLD-fX," continues Cherry. "When I was a young boy I had bronchial asthma and every winter I had bad colds. The colds continued during my hockey career. Later when I retired from hockey, my profession was television and the banquet circuit. In the process of shaking hundreds of hands my cold misery got worse.

One day I read an article where the Edmonton Oilers took COLD-fX and it helped the team. I knew firsthand how colds and flu can really hurt a club, one player gets it and it goes through the whole club. I figured if COLD-fX helped the hockey players, I would give it a try. For the first time in my life, I went through a winter without a cold. I went through the whole playoffs without a cold.

Then I made a mistake, I foolishly stopped taking COLD-fX. Maybe it was the hectic schedule of the finals or getting up at 5 a.m. or back and forth from Calgary to Tampa Bay. What ever the reason, I stopped taking COLD-fX for two weeks. Sure enough I caught a cold that was going through the broadcast crew. I smartened up and quickly got back on COLD-fX. It started pulling me out of the cold the NEXT DAY! Honest Truth.

I am proud to support CVT it's a Canadian company, the product works and it's been researched and developed in Canada. It's Canadian all the way and that's okay by me." says Don.

The product COLD-fX is sold nationally through leading retailers within pharmacy, grocery and health food stores.

"This collaborative effort with Don will support our growth plans, while being able to contribute to such a wonderful charity," says Dr. Jacqueline Shan, President, CEO and Chief Scientific Officer. "This is a significant milestone for CV Technologies as we continue with our successful business growth."

CV Technologies is a biotechnology company founded in 1992.
