DSM Nutritional Products will showcase a number of innovative health and nutrition ingredients and solutions at this year’s Vitafoods, including two new Health Benefit Solutions; essentials for kids and teens and essentials for men.
DSM’s new Health Benefit Solutions comprise of a range of vitamins, minerals and functional ingredients formulated to meet the specific nutritional requirements of children and men. These new platforms complement DSM’s existing portfolio of 12 Health Benefit Solutions, which includes: Guard your Heart, Upgrade your Vision and Empower your mind to name a few. Ingredients are available on their own or as a customised, pre-prepared Quali® Blends premix. Visitors will be able to sample the new and existing Health Benefit Solutions through a range of healthy ‘shot’ drinks.
Also on stand will be DSM’s breakthrough heart health ingredient, Fruitflow®, the first natural, scientifically substantiated solution for the promotion of healthy blood flow. Fruitflow won the heart health and overall innovation categories at Health Ingredients Europe 2010. It was also the first ingredient to receive an approved Article 13(5) health claim from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). With heart health high on the list of consumer health concerns, Fruitflow opens up the route to market for manufacturers of food, beverage and dietary supplement products.
In addition to its broad ingredient portfolio, DSM also has the market knowledge and applications expertise to help manufacturers throughout the new product development process. On May 12 from 11am to 3pm, DSM will host a presentation by Peter Wennström at their booth with a focus on developing consumer relevant functional foods using his renowned FourFactors® Brand Analysis System. These presentations will be complemented by individual workshops where customers will be given the chance to discuss their specific needs and questions. On Friday the 13th of May DSM is collaborating with Peter Wennström again to offer a VIP FourFactors® master class to selected customers to demonstrate how you can use the FourFactors® to communicate health benefits effectively with or without using a health claim.
