Earth Balance unveils new plant-based products

Earth Balance has introduced a new plant-based organic coconut spread and mayo dressing and sandwich spread.

Earth Balance, a US-based brand of all-natural buttery spreads, shortenings, nut butters and soymilk, has introduced a new plant-based organic coconut spread and mayo dressing and sandwich spread. These products are available at all outlets of the Whole Foods Market in the US.

The company claimed that the organic coconut spread provides an affordable way to incorporate coconut oil into the diet. It is made from a similar formula to Earth Balance buttery spread, with organic extra virgin coconut oil replacing soybean oil.

The spread could prove to be an alternative for butter in baking and cooking, and can also be accompanied with toast, steamed vegetables, Thai curry dishes and more, the company added.

MindfulMayo Dressing and Sandwich Spread contain no cholesterol, egg and dairy. They are available in original, extra virgin olive oil, and organic variants.

Earth Balance vice president general manager TJ McIntyre said that the company is leading the plant based diet trend and is committed to offering organic products that are devoid of genetically modified ingredients.

Earth Balance products are available nationally at Whole Foods Market, regionally at City Market, Fred Meyer, Henry's, King Soopers, Publix, QFC, Safeway, Trader Joe's and Wegmans, as well as in local natural and specialty stores across the US.
