Blaine, WA, USA – Four years ago, with the launch of the EnviroKidz brand, Nature’s Path started collecting one percent of sales from all EnviroKidz™ organic products and placed the money in an EnviroFund. The EnviroFund is distributed annually to causes related to the environment and species conservation. Last year, EnviroKidz broke its annual record with nearly $73,000 raised bringing the total amount provided to wildlife conservation to nearly $210,000 since 2000!
The recipient organizations for the funds earned in 2003 are: the Amazon Conservation Team, www.amazonteam.com; Australian Koala Foundation, www.savethekoala.com; Dian Fossey Gorilla Foundation International, www.gorillafund.com; Orangutan Foundation International, www.orangutan.org; and Wildlife Trust, www.wpti.org.
“These groups have been chosen because, in our view, they represent the best of environmentalism, dedication, commitment, and a frontline involvement in this race to save our planet and its species,” said Arran Stephens, President and CEO of Nature’s Path. “We appreciate the tremendous work these organizations do and we are confident that each dollar given will be used to support a better future for us all.”
The money received by these organizations allows them to initiate programs that facilitate the conservation of certain species or the habitats in which they live, as well as continue the preservation work that in some cases have been going on for decades.
