Kokumin Pharmaceuticals is an OEM manufacturer for cosmetic lines including internationally acclaimed Shiseido. Initially, Kokumin intends to market and distribute a moisturizing cream containing Eugene Science's nano processed plant sterols -- RIMOR -- to the Japanese market in the second quarter of 2008. Eugene Science is in discussion with other companies worldwide as it pursues the establishment of joint venture agreements to create, market and distribute cosmetic products containing the Company's unique CZ(TM) nano-sized sterols. CZ(TM) Plant Sterols Benefits on Skin
While plant sterols have long been recognized for their health benefit on human skin, conventional sterols are not water-dispersible and can only be added to oil-based cosmetic products greatly limiting their utility. The unique water-dispersible feature of the Company's nano-sized CZ(TM) sterols, however, enables these sterols to be added to all cosmetic products.
The elemental structure of soy bean-based plant sterols resembles that of cholesterol, which is a key component in human skin composition.
