Fenchem's In-fibre™ inulin has obtained organic certification, which meets the standards of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program (NOP). It has been cleared as "100 percent organic". Fenchem's In-fibre™ inulin is at their booth at the ongoing IFT show (June 06-10) in US.
Fenchem is the one of few inulin suppliers gained USDA organic certified in China. The certification means Fenchem controls its organic manufacturing chain from raw material cultivation and harvesting to extraction, processing and packaging compliance with the National Organic Standards.
In-fibre™ inulin is derived from organic Jerusalem Artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus Linn.). The natural plant sources are grown without use of pesticides or fertilizers. As a dietary fibre with added health benefits, it is widely used in foodstuff products, especially in dairy and baked goods.
In addition to being organic and natural, the new offerings have also already achieved Kosher and Halal status. Fenchem is currently waiting for organic certification under the European Union standard.
