Gadot Awarded for Environmental Transparency

Gadot Biochemical Ind. Ltd. (GBI), Israel, ranked third place in the annual Adam Teva V’Din (Israel Union for Environmental Defense - IUED) report for its environmental transparency.

This is the third year in which Adam Teva V’Din has ranked public companies traded on the TASE for the quality of their environmental activities disclosure. The ranking is based on the companies' disclosure and level of transparency with regard to environmental activities done by those companies as it appears in their annual reports. (This year’s ranking is based on information for the year 2007.)

“We are very proud of being in the top tier of the Environmental Transparency report,” says Ronny Hacham, VP Business Development & Marketing at Gadot. “This award clearly demonstrates Gadot’s long term commitment to environmental protection. Gadot intends to invest an additional US$2 million in environmental protection programs during 2009-2010.”

GBI, Israel, develops high-value ingredients with synergetic effects for the mineral supplement, food and beverage markets. It is the leading supplier of citrate salts, and specializes in developing products with high bioavailability. Gadot currently is ISO 14001 and GMP-certified.
