Finished Products Expo takes place in Geneva from the 10—12 May 2011, for what is set to be its biggest edition yet. With the market for functional foods, drinks and dietary supplements flourishing and expected to reach US$243 billion in the next four years, the event is the ideal platform to exploit these opportunities.
Last year more than 2,500 attendees passed through the doors of Finished Products Expo, breaking all previous show records. The show organisers plan to build on this success in the 2011 edition. Finished Products Expo will play host to more than 100 suppliers of dietary supplements, functional foods and drinks and media partners. Exhibitors set to showcase their latest innovations include international brands such as Nature’s Plus, FrieslandCampina Creamy Creation, NOW International, Bariatrix and Probi.
More than just an exhibition
Finished Products Expo has an array of exciting features to attract a whole host of visitors. The Tasting Bar @ FPE, sponsored by Laboratoire PYC [stand 2120] offers a unique opportunity to sample the latest innovations in the functional foods and drinks market and establish the next big products to hit the industry.
The New Products Zone sponsored by NOW International [stand 2010] will showcase revolutionary developments launched within the last 12 months. Companies with innovative new market launches are eligible to enter their products for display in the feature, located at the show entrance. Making its debut at the Finished Products Expo, the Iceland Pavilion [stand 2320] is sure to be one of the highlights of this year’s show. The pavilion will feature exhibitors such as SagaMedica and Katla who will be giving insights into many of the market opportunities and trade services the country has to offer.
Leading industry suppliers
The exhibition, as ever, will feature a host of leading suppliers and manufacturers of the latest cutting-edge finished products to hit the market. A wide range of sports nutrition drinks, cereal bars and health supplements that assist with health and physical wellbeing will be on display for visitors to discover and evaluate.
Protein specialist for more than 30 years, Bariatrix Europe will be showcasing its new global solutions at Finished Products Expo [stand 2430]. After the success of its strawberry flavored smoothie, the company will be exhibiting its new banana flavor—high quality protein supplements. Also on show will be two new low-calorie and protein-rich snacks, plus its range of low sugar cakes, sweetened with polyols.
FrieslandCampina Creamy Creation
Creamy Creation, part of dairy cooperation FrieslandCampina [stand 2025], specializes in emulsified and stabilized beverages, handling all areas from concept development, R&D, contract manufacturing, consultancy and packaging through to the legal and administrative side of launching a new product. The company focuses on weight management products, for example meal replacement products, and high protein sports drinks.
General Care Products Co., Ltd
General Care Products [stand 2034]—manufacturer of confectionery goods—will have an assortment of candies, liquorice and fruit bars on display at Finished Products Expo. All made with the company’s innovative extruder machine, the products are both energy-enhancing and nutritionally beneficial.
U.S. based Nordic Naturals [stand 2310] will be bringing an innovative delivery system for fish oil to Finished Products Expo.
