Global Stevia Corp. Inc., a specialized stevia company focused on the development and distribution of premium stevia, today announced the execution of an agreement to acquire up to 95 percent of the outstanding shares of Global Stevia Vietnam.
The acquisition provides the Company access to an extensive network of contacts within government and research institutes, and an experienced research and business development team which include the following:
Dr. Long (Ph.D. Genetics), who has joined the Company as Chief Scientist. Dr. Tran Dinh Long obtained his D.Sc. Doctor in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the Kishinev State University. In 1989 he managed the development and plant improvement of stevia and collected accessions and cultivars from various countries.
Dr. Dung (Ph.D. Microbiology), who has joined the Company as Chief Agronomist. In addition to being a Senior Specialist at the VNU Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology at National University, Dr. Nguyen Lan Dung holds several distinguished positions and memberships, including Chairman of the Farmer Technology Support Program and Member of the Vietnam Foreign Affairs Committee.
Global Stevia Corp. is a management company with a strong focus on stevia agronomics, from plant breeding and best agricultural practices to post-harvest techniques. The Company is heavily invested in facilities and intellectual property in order to provide management services and production facilities to the stevia industry.
