Grain Processing Corp. announces hires, promotion

Grain Processing Corporation has hired Rob Bohannon, as Technical Sales Representative and Ben Porter, as an Associate Laboratory Scientist and also has promoted Mike Kramer as Senior Applications Scientist.


Grain Processing Corporation has hired Rob Bohannon, as Technical Sales Representative and Ben Porter, as an Associate Laboratory Scientist in the Food, Pharmaceutical and Personal Care group. The company has also promoted Mike Kramer as Senior Applications Scientist.

Rob Bohannon is responsible for the sales of MALTRIN® Maltodextrins and Bohannon, Robfood starch products throughout a nine-state Southeast territory. A native of Northern Georgia, Rob graduated from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. He has six years experience in the chemical distribution business, most recently with Brenntag, USA. He and his family reside in Villa Rica, Georgia.

Ben Porter graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Ben PorterBachelor of Arts degree in Biotechnology. Before joining the company, Ben worked for BASF Plant Science Division in Raleigh, North Carolina. He and his family have relocated to the Quad Cities area.

Mike Kramer has been promoted to Senior Applications Scientist for the Food, Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Technical Services group at Grain Processing Corporation. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science from Mike Kramer Rutgers University and his Masters in Food Science from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining the company in 1996, Mike worked in product development for Kraft Foods and Unilever, where he developed products in the soups, snacks, confections, sandwiches, and side dish areas. He and his family reside in Muscatine.
