PORTLAND, Ore.— Feb. 6, 2006—Healthnotes Inc., the leading provider of healthy living retail marketing solutions, today announced the appointment of David Minns as Executive Vice President of Sales and Account Management and Jeff Seacrist as Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Minns’ strong track record in successfully increasing sales and Mr. Seacrist’s strategic leadership in bringing products to market bring valuable experience to Healthnotes as the company grows its presence within mainstream supermarkets and pharmacies.
These new executive appointments come on the heels of a successful year and increasing momentum at Healthnotes. The company achieved record sales in 2005, including significant growth in the food and drug segments of the business. With a 100% renewal rate in its core market segments, usage by every major natural products retailer in the U.S. and a significant new product release—Healthnotes® Connect™—planned for the first quarter this year, Healthnotes is poised for significant growth in 2006.
Most recently, Mr. Minns was Vice President of Sales for a key division of WebMD, where he successfully led a ten-fold increase in sales over a three-year period. Previously, Mr. Minns was Vice President of Business Development and cofounder of ECS Integrated Technology Solutions where he and his team grew their business to revenue of $26 million and profitability in less than three years, leading to a successful acquisition by Computer Sciences Corporation in 1999. He also held various sales and management positions during a six-year tenure at Oracle Corporation. Mr. Minns volunteers as an Ambassador board member for the Children's Cancer Association and a board member for the Northwest Sarcoma Foundation.
As Vice President of Marketing, Mr. Seacrist is responsible for product strategy, demand generation, brand awareness and analytics. Mr. Seacrist comes to Healthnotes from WebTrends Inc., where he successfully led Product Marketing for over five years. Prior to joining WebTrends, Mr. Seacrist led new product development initiatives for leading technology companies, including 3M, Dex Media and Qwest.
