Honey Buzzes Into the 21st Century With Concepts and Applications Targeting Millennium Consumers.

LONGMONT Colo., Sep 29, 2004 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Honey's golden ingredient attributes are slated for a great new future. On October 20-21, 2004 at the Westin Crown Center Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri, the National Honey Board will introduce eleven new product concepts and product extensions designed to profitably move honey front and center in the mainstream consumer market. The Honey Board invites all food manufacturing and foodservice product decision-makers and to members of the honey industry to attend this New Product Showcase. On one day, the Honey Board will present updated market research and on the other day, present honey as the integral ingredient and purchase incentive in breakthrough applications such as extruded corn chips, blendable beverage syrup, processed poultry coating, enriched adult nutrition beverage, drinkable yogurt and honey balsamic vinegar (contains no sulfites!).

In addition to a display of market-ready honey prototypes, the two-day showcase program will include technology lectures and demonstrations by two of the product development groups responsible for creating the concepts, as well as product testing and sampling.
