Details of the conference:

Microbiota, Probiotics and brain-gut axis: How probiotics may influence our stress response?

From 11.00 am New York time/ 5.00 pm CEST (Paris)

Through the high amount of work performed at the French National Institute of Agricultural Research (INRA) on the new probiotic strain Lactobacillus farciminis CIP 103136, and through the literature published by research teams from all around the world on other strains, Dr Vasilia Theodorou (INRA/Ecole d’Ingénieur de Purpan, France) will expose how our microbiota or how certain probiotic strains can have an effect on visceral pain, on the regulation of the intestinal barrier function and, even, beyond the gut, on changes in the brain response to stress.

To complete and illustrate this topic, Ms Isabelle Champié (IRL) will deliver a practical example of finished product (Probio’Stick®) that has been formulated and tested for its efficacy on preventing the disturbing symptoms of the stress response.

The one-hour interactive conference will include a live Q&A session. Those who cannot attend live will have a chance to catch-up as all conferences will remain on-line for three months.

During the event, attendees will be able to interact in the Chat Lounge with Dr Theodorou (Professor EI-Purpan, Director of the Neuro-Gastroenterology and Nutrition Group UMR1331), Isabelle Champié (Worldwide Marketing Director, IRL ), Bérengère Feuz (Gastroenterology Product Manager, IRL) and Nadine Renard (Global Senior Project Manager,IRL).
