Lactium: Study Suggests that Lactium Can Help Reduce Cortisol Level and Enhance Sport Training Capacity

A recent study has tested the effect of lactium® (150 mg/day) on ten national and international caliber biathletes from a Military Base in Quebec, subjected to 4 weeks of rigorous training.

Lactium® is a casein hydrolysate with scientifically proven anti-stress properties, said Advitech, a Canadian nutratech company.

The mean cortisol level was significantly lower in the athletes taking lactium® , while it was higher in athletes taking placebo, at week 4 compared to the basal level observed during the first week. Results from this study strongly suggest that lactium® can help counter the negative physiological effects caused by the rise of cortisol levels induced by rigorous training and may therefore ensure performance development.
