Lallemand probiotics receive halal certification

Six products have received the Halal certification from IFANCA, the Islamic Food And Nutrition Council of America.

Lallemand is pleased to announce that its major yeast and bacteria probiotic products have received the Halal certification from IFANCA, the Islamic Food And Nutrition Council of America. The company’s probiotic products that have received the Halal certification to date are the famous yeast probiotic Saccharomyces boulardii and the Probiocap microencapsulated bacteria strains: Lactobacillus Rosell-52; Lactobacillus Rosell-11; Lactobacillus casei Rosell-215; and Bifidobacterium Rosell-175. These probiotic strains are well described; they enter into the formulation of the company’s key probiotic supplements and are also available for direct sales or for inclusion into custom formulations. These products will be presented at CPHI South East Asia in Jakarta, Indonesia, from May 10 to 12 and at Vitafoods Europe In Geneva, Switzerland from May 22 to 24.
