dicentra Inc.™ will host a live web seminar on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time on how to successfully substantiate your health claims for your natural health product license applications to Health Canada. The Natural Health Products Directorate has stepped up its requirements for the evidence necessary to substantiate product claims. To give you the information and tools that will set your mind at ease and help you understand what is required to validate your product claims, dicentra presents this course prepared and delivered by Jon-Paul Powers, Ph.D., (about the speaker) an expert in the field of claims substantiation for natural health products and a former assessment officer of the Natural Health products Directorate. Dr. Powers will address the legal standards, the necessary support evidence, and the painful consequences of noncompliance. Examples of adequate and inadequate evidence substantiation for specific product claims will be provided throughout the session.
Marketing managers should attend to make sure they understand the issues and limitations relating to natural health product claims in order to make the right decisions regarding their marketing and communication strategies. Regulatory affairs personnel, formulators and R&D personnel should attend to understand the evidence required to substantiate product claims and to acquire the ability to evaluate a conceptual product from step one to determine if enough evidence exists to support the product’s desired claim.
The number of registrations for this course is being limited so please sign up soon. Only 1 day remains!
