Dr. Susie Rockway, Ph.D., C.N.S., has joined Life Extension in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., as executive director of product development. In her new position she will oversee corporate product development. Previously, Dr. Rockway was director of research and science developing health and wellness products, communicating nutrition and new science updates to consumers while also designing testing strategies for clinical efficacy studies for Isagenix International in Chandler, Ariz.
As a researcher with over 26 years, she holds five patents, including those for krill extracts and conjugated linoleic acid compositions and chitosan-psyllium complexes for PharmaNutrients, Inc. She is a published author with recent publication showing clinical impact on heart patients supplemented with fish oil and high doses of vitamin D3. She has been an invited speaker in Europe and a notable speaker at nutraceutical and food and nutrition conferences. She also holds several professional memberships including the American Society for Nutrition.
Dr. Rockway holds a B.S. degree from San Diego State University in biological sciences, an M.S. degree from the University of Arizona in agricultural-biochemistry and nutrition and a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in nutritional science. Dr. Rockway also has a NIH postdoctoral fellowship from the University of Chicago, department of medicine, clinical nutrition research center in Chicago.
