Pure Foods Low Carb Markets Says Show Us Your Lab Reports Or Your Product Will Be Taken Off Our Shelves
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Pure Foods, LLC announced today that following recent news reports by KCBS and KNBC in Los Angeles revealing that some low carb manufacturers nutritional values were inaccurate on their labels, Pure Foods is requesting lab reports from all manufactures to confirm the nutritional information on their labels.
"After the recent news reports that Low Carb Emporium bagels and Fabes muffins listed incorrect carbs on their labels, our business has decreased over 40%. Our customers tell us they are worried and wondering what other labels are incorrect. We see no choice but to demand this information from each manufacturer or pull their products from our stores. I would think the lab reports should be readily available to send to us. We are giving manufactures 30 days from today to comply with this request" said Pure Foods, LLC Co-Founder Stephen A. Bikoff.
"When a customer shops at Pure Foods they will know we are looking out for them and can produce lab reports at their request. It's a disgrace that a few companies have misinformed customers and retailers and now our loyal customers are questioning the rest of the low carb products in our stores," said Bikoff.
Pure Foods, LLC owns low carb markets in Beverly Hills & Santa Monica, CA with 1 new location opening each month in California. The company projects 20 stores by the end of next year.
