(Tucson, Ariz.) --- Since its early days in 2002, the Russell Public Affairs Group has grown from a single employee with a desk in his garage to a full service public relations agency with six staff members and a national clientele. In celebration of its fifth anniversary, the Tucson-based agency announces its next phase of growth with a new name, staff, location, and expanded line of services.
The agency has represented a wide range of clients in the natural health and integrative medicine industries, including Dr. Andrew Weil, former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Richard Carmon, Canyon Ranch, Sunstone Cancer Support Centers, Alzheimer’s Prevention Foundation International, California Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and the University of Arizona Program in Integrative Medicine.
Leading the slate of changes is the agency’s new name, Russell Public Communications. The change was inspired by a reaffirmation of the agency’s core values as a communications consultancy, along with its new service expansion to include branding and graphic design, advertising, direct mail, and media planning and buying. “The heart of our work has always been to capture the essence of our clients’ brands, and uniquely transform those brands into public trust,” said Matt Russell, partner and chief executive officer of Russell Public. “To be involved early in the process, in actually creating those brands, became something fundamental to us,” he continued, “and we ultimately found ourselves with greater passion for the work of promoting these brands in the marketplace.”
Overseeing this expansion is the firm’s new partner and creative director, George Gobble, who comes to the agency with more than a decade of strategic planning, advertising, direct mail, and media experience. He has represented a wide range of local and national clients, and served most recently as senior vice president of a New Jersey-based public affairs advertising firm.
To accommodate the agency’s expansion, it has moved to a new office at 7290 E. Broadway Boulevard in Tucson. The suite, which has been designed with the agency’s new color scheme of dark chocolate and tangerine, boasts a candle-lit lobby with Tibetan drums and a far eastern-inspired décor, chalkboard office walls, a library featuring works by many of the agency’s clients, and a “chill lounge.”
