President of Decade-Old IMG Agency to Share Expertise on Marketing of Functional Foods, Beverages
SALT LAKE CITY, February 26, 2007 -- Jeff Hilton, president and co- founder of Integrated Marketing Group (IMG), a marketing and branding agency servicing a national and international clientele, will participate in the panel presentation, "New Applications and Marketing of Functional Foods and Beverages," on Wednesday, March 7 at 2 p.m. in the Anaheim Marriott Hotel's Northeast Marquis Ballroom as part of the Nutracon Conference's educational program running from March 7 to 9 in Anaheim, Calif. Other panel members include Anthony Almada BSc, MSc, Bob Richardson, James Tonkin, Loren Israelsen, Mary Mulry PhD, Richard Swain and Steve Rosskam.
Panel members will discuss all aspects of product development, including research and development, intellectual property, regulatory requirements, ingredient sourcing and effective packaging. Hilton will focus on how to effectively build brands for functional foods and beverages, and how manufacturers can ultimately roll their positioned product into strategic advertising, marketing and public relations campaigns. The latter half of the presentation will consist of a hands-on workshop wherein participants will break-out into groups to develop and market a beverage from scratch.
"Once manufacturers have completed all the research and development on a product, it's crucial to their success to carefully map out how they will position and market their product, whether it be to a trade or consumer audience," states Hilton. "My part of this presentation will take participants through the steps necessary to create a value proposition and marketing plan for their products."
Hilton will also be hosting a cake-cutting ceremony in honor of IMG's 10th anniversary on Saturday, March 10 at 2 p.m. at booth #362. Hilton has 27 years of broad-based marketing and business experience, including 17 years spent within the natural products industry and led IMG to become the first agency in the United States to certify in the Federal Trade Commission Advertising Compliance Course for dietary supplements.
