McVitie’s new cake products feature Tate & Lyle ingredients

McVitie’s Cake Company is introducing a selection of limited edition products for Halloween and Bonfire Night this autumn.

 

McVitie’s Cake Company, a snack food brand owned by United Biscuits, is introducing a selection of limited edition products for Halloween and Bonfire Night this autumn. The offerings include two seasonal themed Jaffa Cakes Bars and two new McVitie’s Tate & Lyle wholecakes.

Following the launch of its limited edition Jaffa Cakes Lemon and Slime Cake Bars last year, McVitie's is re-introducing the range with the hope to drive seasonal sales for retailers this Halloween. In addition, MCC is also returning its limited edition McVitie's Jaffa Spooky Cake Bars, to the market which will include the blend of bittersweet dark crackly chocolate and light sponge, but with a ghoulishly blood red orange centre.

McVitie's Cake Company's two new limited edition of 255gm wholecakes include McVitie's Tate and Lyle Black Treacle Cake—a soft moist and sticky Black Treacle Cake—and McVitie's Tate and Lyle Toffee Apple Cake—a tasty Toffee Apple flavored cake made with Tate and Lyle Golden Syrup.

Jaffa Cakes Bars and two new McVitie's Tate & Lyle wholecakes will be available for retailers from the end of August with MRRPs of £1.49.
