More Than 1700 Exhibitors to Showcase Natural, Organic and Healthy Products at Natural Products Expo East in September

BOULDER, Colo., Jul 23, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- This September, retailers, manufacturers and leaders in the natural, organic and healthy products industries will converge on the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland to unveil new products and showcase emerging trends at the 23rd annual Natural Products Expo East ( trade show and conference, Sept. 26-29.

One of the top 200 trade shows in the country, according to Tradeshow Week magazine, Natural Products Expo East is expected to attract more than 24,000 industry members. Produced by New Hope Natural Media, a division of Penton Media, the show will feature more than 1700 exhibits in the areas of natural, organic and specialty foods, supplements, and pet, health & beauty and natural living products.

Keynote speaker Paul Hawken, noted environmentalist, entrepreneur and journalist dedicated to sustainability and changing the relationship between business and the environment, will address attendees on Saturday at 9:00 am.
Consumer interest in natural and organic products is at an all-time high. Natural products sales in the United States grew 9.7 percent across all retail and direct-to-consumer sales channels in 2006, topping more than $56 billion, according to The Natural Foods Merchandiser's 2007 Market Overview.
