National Nutritional Foods Association To Host Annual Dietary Supplement and Natural Products Convention and Trade Show: Exciting New Venue, Same Great Value

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., November 19, 2003—Dietary supplement and natural product retailers from across the country will indulge their buying skills as they peruse more than 500 exhibitors showcasing industry’s best products at the National Nutritional Foods Association’s 67th annual trade show and convention—NNFA 2004—July 16-18, in Las Vegas. This year’s show, held at the world-class Sands Expo and Convention Center, will be sure to delight attendees and exhibitors alike with its energizing new location on the famous Las Vegas Strip—all while maintaining focus on the show’s core of education and business.

Participants can anticipate an exciting show with currently more than 70 percent of the exhibit floor already sold for July. Strong demand for booth space required NNFA to expand the show floor design by as much as 20 percent to accommodate prospective exhibitors. Attendees can expect to see the hottest new products from innovative, top-quality exhibitors including healthy snack foods, nutrition bars, functional foods and beverages, dietary supplements targeting age-related health issues, and natural and nutritional foods and supplements for pets. In addition, NNFA 2004 will feature one of industry’s hottest growing new trends—“low carb” products—in its food pavilion. As with past NNFA trade shows, natural product retailers are invited to walk the show floor free of charge.

NNFA 2004 continues NNFA’s successful weekend show format by bringing attendees a more exciting, concentrated, profitable, affordable, and convenient experience. The convention’s educational conference takes place Friday while the exhibition takes place Saturday and Sunday. The set-up is designed to accommodate retailers and exhibitors so they spend less time away from the office. The show floor will retain the relaxed and convivial atmosphere that encourages networking and relationship building. NNFA 2004 will be centrally located at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, adjacent to NNFA’s new headquarters hotel—the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino.

"NNFA’s annual trade show and convention is strategically positioned to address the needs of dietary supplement and natural product buyers and sellers,” said NNFA Convention Committee Chairman Jim Lemsky of Hain Celestial Group. “People want smaller, more focused events and NNFA 2004 fits the bill by bringing buyers and sellers together in a more intimate setting without losing focus of the bottom line—to educate retailers on trends and developments, and promote and sustain industry business.”

In addition to exciting trade show exhibits, attendees can enjoy special events on the show floor such as the 10th Annual People’s Choice Awards blind taste-test competition and live food demonstrations by Oregon-based chef and cooking instructor John Koch. Participants are also invited to attend other special show events such as NNFA’s annual awards reception and NNFA’s annual business meeting and breakfast. These and other special events are scheduled throughout NNFA 2004.

And, NNFA 2004 will serve host to some of industry’s best educational sessions. Past conference speakers have educated attendees on key industry topics such as trends and products, business improvement, new discoveries in nutrition research, and legislative and regulatory developments.
