Natrol Inc. Co-Brands With MEG-3

Natrol’s New Line of Fish Oil Products Provides Consumers with a More Pleasant Way to Take Supplements

Ocean Nutrition Canada Limited (ONC), supplier of MEG-3® brand Omega-3 EPA/DHA food and dietary supplement ingredients, is pleased to announce that Natrol, Inc. has included MEG-3® EPA/DHA in their all-new line of Lemon-Flavored Omega-3 Fish Oil supplements. These new supplements are co-branded with the MEG-3® and the logo is prominently featured on the front of the packaging.

All five products in the Lemon-Flavored Omega-3 Fish Oil line contain MEG-3® Fish Oil as well as added natural lemon oil, which combats the fishy “burp effect” associated with fish oil supplements.

Research indicates that DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) and EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) Omega-3 fatty acids are important for good health and normal growth and development. Many studies have shown that DHA plays an essential role in the normal development of the brain, eyes, and nerves while EPA is nature’s nutritional anti-inflammatory. Together, EPA and DHA aid in the maintenance of normal cardiovascular function.*

Dr. Michael Yatcilla, Vice President of R&D at Natrol, Inc., said, “The MEG-3® brand has become the consumer icon for recognizing that the product they are purchasing contains a pure source of Omega-3 ingredients from fish oil.” Dr. Yatcilla continued, “The Natrol® brand is one of the most trusted supplement brands in the United States. Co-branding with MEG-3® adds even more value for our consumers because they can easily see that they are purchasing a premiere source of Omega-3 fish oil supplements.”

Ian Lucas, Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at ONC, said, “Natrol’s new line of fish oil supplements combine the goodness of Omega-3 with the fresh taste of lemon creating a great tasting product for consumers.” Lucas continued, “We are proud to be co-branding with this wonderful product line and the Natrol brand since both brands represent the highest quality standards.”
