Natrol Named 'Vendor of the Year' By Fred Meyer

Chatsworth, CA (February 5, 2004) – NATROL INC. (NASDAQ: NTOL), a manufacturer and distributor of nationally branded nutritional supplements, announced today it has been honored as the 2003 “Vendor of the Year” for the Nutrition Center Division of Fred Meyer Stores.

The buying and merchandising staff for the Fred Meyer Nutrition Centers nominated Natrol to receive the award in recognition of its innovative and aggressive new product introductions and promotional plans.

“Natrol products turned in strong sales growth for the Fred Meyer Nutrition Centers in 2003 that outpaced the rate of growth of the entire nutritional supplements category,” Nancy Moon-Eilers, Vice President of the Nutrition Center Division for Fred Meyer, said. “Natrol continually goes above and beyond in helping us reach our mutual goals.
