Natural Products Expo Asia 2008 Sets New Records

New Hope Natural Media (, a division of Penton Media, Inc., today announced that its sixth annual Natural Products Expo Asia set new attendance and exhibition records. The 2008 tradeshow and conference, held in June at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, attracted 345 exhibiting companies from around the globe. The event showcased more than 10,000 natural, organic and eco-products in the industry's largest event in Asia. More than 10,000 attendees visited the three-day show, representing a 12 percent increase in traffic.

Show floor space also expanded this year, reflecting a growing range of product offerings, including natural and organic foods and beverages; supplements; personal care; pet products; eco-products; herbs; traditional Chinese medicines; raw materials and supply-related equipments. Exhibitors came from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Korea, Canada, the US, Japan, Argentina, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, India and Sri Lanka.

Excluding Hong Kong, the top ten attendee countries/regions were Mainland China, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, the U.S., Thailand, Singapore, Japan and Australia. The event received U.S. Department of Commerce certification, as well as support from the Organic Food Development Centre Ministry of Environmental Protection, Korea Health Supplement Association, Nippon Pharmacy Association and Austrade, which led trade delegations to the event.

Next year's seventh annual Natural Products Expo Asia will be held June 25-27, 2009 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
