Natural Products Expo Japan: Three mega shows under one roof

This year, two world-class tradeshow producers of the natural and organic products industry join forces with Japan's largest functional foods trade publisher and the oldest Natural Food Association to form an unprecedented partnership. Together they will produce in Tokyo a triple co-located trade exhibition focused on natural products, organic food, health and the functional products industry.

The shows include:
Natural Products Expo Japan. This is the only professional trade event in Japan showcasing the latest in natural products, health, personal care, supplements and nutrition. It is organized by New Hope Natural Media and Health Business Magazine.

BioFach Japan. The No. 1 tradeshow for organic products in Japan, BioFach offers excellent business opportunities for organic producers entering the Japanese market. It is the nation's major forum for business between organic buyers and sellers.

Natural Expo. An annual exhibition organized by the All Japan Health and Natural Foods Association, the oldest natural food non-profit association in Japan, Natural Expo is designed to serve and support the Japanese Health Food Industry.

This triple mega-event will feature cutting-edge organic businesses, natural and functional foods products, raw materials, market intelligence, and a comprehensive education programme.

More than 300 nutrition, organic and natural products companies from 15 countries will exhibit state-of-the-art products and services, providing retailers, distributors/agents and manufacturers a complete, end-to-end professional trade event.

For the first time Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the US have organized national pavilions at Natural Products Expo Japan.

Japan is the third largest market for organic and natural products in the world, and the second largest for dietary supplements, after the US. The potential for continued growth is enormous, especially as Japan's population ages ? by 2040, one out of three people in Japan will be over 65.

  • Japan's health foods (supplements, functional foods, vitamins, FOSHU) market is worth $10 billion and is increasing 10 per cent annually. The FOSHU portion of this market is worth $5 billion and is increasing two per cent annually.
  • Japan's 75,000 pharmacies are seeking new international supplements products to compete with network marketers and discount mass-market retailers, which account for 70 per cent of supplements sales in Japan.
