Natures Path Foods earns second BC Exporter of the Year honor

The No. 1 organic cereal manufacturer awarded in Consumer Products sector

Richmond, BC, CANADA – It seems appropriate in its 20th year in business that Nature’s Path Foods is named BC Exporter of the Year/Consumer Products at an awards ceremony on Friday, Nov. 25. Presented annually, the awards recognize the province’s top 21 exporters. Nature’s Path earned its first Exporter of the Year Award in 1992.

BC Minister of Economic Development Colin Hansen says the 2005 BC Export Award winners are an inspiration for BC exporters to build on.

“We have companies, the talented people, the cultural diversity and the competitive economic environment to see enormous growth opportunities across BC,” Minister Hansen said. Premier Gordon Campbell added, “All the companies presented with the 2005 BC Export Awards represent the drive, innovation and competitiveness that have always been critical to an export-based economy like ours.”

The BC Export Awards are co-hosted by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME). All BC-registered companies that have exported a product or service for two or more years are eligible for nomination. Overall, a total of 375 companies received nominations.

Nature’s Path executives were privileged to accept the honor.
