Naturopathic College Benefits from Donation

Bioriginal Food & Science Corp. Supports Newly-Accredited Boucher Institute

Saskatoon, SK, Canada – Bioriginal Food & Science Corp. is pleased to announce its recent corporate sponsorship of the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, B.C. The newly-accredited college is one of only two in Canada recognized by the Council on Naturopathic Medicine Education.

Bioriginal has contributed monetary support as well as contributions in kind of essential fatty acid (EFA) products and copies of the book, Healthy Fats for Life (John Wiley & Sons, 2004) to be distributed to the college’s students and staff. As the world’s leading supplier of EFAs, Bioriginal has also offered to have Karlene Karst, RD, co-author of the book, make a presentation to Boucher’s students this month on the importance of these “good” fats.

“Our mission as a company is to bring the benefits of EFAs to society and we are pleased to partner with organizations who share that goal,” commented Shelagh Jamieson, Director of Marketing for Bioriginal. “We are proud to sponsor an educational institution such as Boucher, which promotes natural alternatives to healing and health.”

Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine is the first western Canadian Naturopathic College. The Institute was established in 2000 and presently has three classes, totaling 73 students at various stages in their four year program. Boucher is governed by a not-for-profit charitable society, and, as such, receives no funding from federal or provincial governments. All operating and capital expenses must be met by funds generated from student tuition, donations, grants and corporate sponsorships. If you or your company is interested in contributing to Boucher, please contact the college at (604) 777-9981.
