NEC Marks One Year Without a Recordable Injury

Safety is a core value for National Enzyme Company and its employees. NEC recently observed a milestone marking one year without a recordable illness or injury. Safety is an integral part of NEC and clearly it is that recognition by every employee and acceptance of responsibility that has shown NEC to be a leader in safety both locally and nationally.

To say the least, NEC employees celebrated this landmark in style. Employees were treated to breakfast at Golden Corral and tickets to Silver Dollar City, a local amusement park. Anthony Collier, CEO, has backed the safety program since the beginning. His gift of a day off shows his unwavering support.

NEC has been a VPP Star site since 2001 and recently experienced a 70% reduction in DART, which represents days away from work, restriction from job duties, or transfer to another duty because of injury on the job.

”Every employee recognizes that safety is an integral part of the company; and clearly it is that recognition and acceptance of responsibility that has shown NEC to be a leader in safety both locally and nationally.” Carol Schwartzkopf, safety manager. What NEC does to ensure a safe work environment not only benefits every employee but their families as well. This dedication and commitment is something to celebrate every day!
