New Flax Lignan Ingredient Linumlife(TM) Extra Launches At Upcoming Expo West

WHAT: Acatris Inc., a global organization that produces, markets and distributes ingredients for the food, health and nutrition industry, is excited to introduce the newest addition to their innovative flax ingredient line, LinumLife(TM) EXTRA. LinumLife EXTRA, the first flax extract with a standardized 20% lignan concentration is the most potent form available on the market today. Flax lignans are phytonutrients found in unrefined grains, legumes, certain vegetables and seeds. Studies show that flaxseed is one of the richest sources of lignans, providing up to 800 times more than any other plant. They also act as powerful antioxidants and, as phytoestrogens, can have a balancing effect on hormones.

Discover the increasing research and extraordinary health benefits flax lignans may offer your customers including prostate health, breast health, inhibiting hair loss and menopausal symptom relief.

WHO: Jocelyn Mathern, R.D., Technical Specialist for Acatris, will present an educational seminar titled "Enhancing your Health with Flax Lignans," at Expo West on Saturday, March 6, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in Room 201D. Jocelyn will discuss the history of flax, the health benefits flax lignans can provide and will examine the unique properties of lignans as well as the research behind the ingredient. Participants will learn which health arenas are most promising and how to market and develop products containing lignans.
