Harleysville, PA (July 2007) -- NHIOnDemand announced today the launch of their five year collaborative project with the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. The new website, GlobInMed.com, featuring both NHI’s content and technology, was launched this week at the International Conference on Traditional/Complementary Medicine and Materia Medica in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The GlobInMed site is a prototype for an ongoing project by the Commonwealth Nations to document traditional medicines on a global basis and to make that information available to all nations involved in the process. The GlobInMed project has exceeded the prototype model in that it already provides information from global sources in such areas as sustainable agriculture, international trade, intellectual property and regulations governing use and manufacturing of botanical products. NHI’s new advanced health/medicinal knowledge management technologies enabled the teams to bring together diverse content into a structured, centralized environment.
NHI’s corporate and technology partner in Malaysia is Forte Tech Solutions Sdn Bhd, a diversified company with an emphasis on medical information systems. Dierdre Allen, Vice President of Content and Regulatory Affairs for NHI states, “This has been a massive undertaking that many people said could not be done. I give credit to the teams from the Institute of Medical Research, Ministry of Health, Forte Tech and to our own NHI team for maintaining the tenacity required to accomplish such a worthwhile goal.”
NHI is the content and technology division of Ask Destiny Content Communications Group located in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. For more information on the GlobInMed project or on NHI products and services, contact NHI at 215-513-7300, ext. 236 or online at http://www.nhiondemand.com/.
