Watsonville, California (September 9, 2004) Nordic Naturals, Inc. announced today that it will sponsor the following educational event at Natural Products Expo East 2004 to be held in Washington D.C.
Expo East attendees are cordially invited to attend the Dr. David Perlmutter Symposium on October 16th from 2 to 3 pm in Room 147A at the Washington DC Convention Center. The talk entitled “New Research on the Benefits of Fish Oil for Brain Longevity and Weight Management” will be followed by a book signing at Nordic Naturals Booth #3353 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. The Better Brain Book by Dr. David Perlmutter and Carol Colman will be available at no charge for attendees while supplies last. In addition, Nordic Naturals will be unveiling new product offerings along with their newly reprinted informative brochure for consumers.
David Perlmutter, M.D. is a Board-Certified Neurologist who received his M.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine where he was awarded the Leonard G. Rowntree Research Award. After completing residency training in Neurology, also at the University of Miami, Dr. Perlmutter entered private practice in Naples, Florida where he serves as Medical Director of the Perlmutter Health Center and the Perlmutter Hyperbaric Center. Dr. Perlmutter serves as Adjunct Instructor at the Institute for Functional Medicine in Gig Harbor, Washington and has contributed extensively to world medical literature with publications appearing in such journals as The Journal of Neurosurgery, The Southern Medical Journal and Archives of Neurology. He is the author of: BrainRecovery.com – Powerful Therapy for Challenging Brain Disorders and The Better Brain Book newly published in August 2004. He is recognized internationally as a leader in the field of nutritional influences in neurological disorders. He is currently involved in research at the University of South Florida studying the effectiveness of glutathione in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.
