NPA to deliver Washington update at SupplySide

NPA legal counsel Daron Watts will offer an insider’s view of how this election might impact the industry, including what a power shift in Congress could mean for food and dietary supplement regulations.

The Natural Products Association (NPA) will participate as an exhibitor and presenter at SupplySide Marketplace 2012, May 8 to 10, at the Javits Center in New York City. NPA legal counsel Daron Watts of Sidley Austin LLP will serve as a panelist during the Washington Update on Wednesday, May 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Room 1E09, Level 1.

Watts will help provide an in-depth analysis of the political landscape in Congress and federal regulatory activity. From what it means if a new president is elected to what a power shift in Congress could mean for food and dietary supplement regulations, Watts offers an insider’s view of how this election might impact the industry. He’ll also talk about what to expect from the Food and Drug Administration, Federal Trade Commission and other government agencies this year leading up to and after the November elections.

In addition, NPA will offer two show specials for SupplySide participants on both NPA membership and website banner advertising. Suppliers, manufacturers and associates who join NPA during SupplySide will receive 25 percent off their membership dues, and attendees who order a banner ad will receive one additional month at no charge. Both offers are good through May 25.
